Oze is one of the most scenic place all over Japan. There are two distinct areas. Oze numa (marsh) is the east part of the area. Usually approched there from the Aizu region in Fukushima prefecture.

Another part of Oze is the Ozegahara meadow. The entrance city for there is Numata in Gunma prefecture. Best season visiting here must be Autum. Most visiotors of this season want to see the senary called kusamomiji which indicates that grass leaves turned red.

Oze is little far from Tokyo.You need two days trip as minimum. Easily acceptable guidebook for this area is Hiking in Japan. Although just four pages(124-128p) have been concerned.
